Poas Volcano, Local Culture and Ox Carts - Oh My!

The day begins with a scenic drive to Poas Volcano stopping for photo opts and interesting tidbits along the way. Once arriving at the national park and volcano, we will take a short hike to Botos Lagoon where you will see the main active crater with its sulfuric fumaroles.

We'll then drive to the quaint village of Grecia to explore the town's Central Market and see one of the only metal churches in Costa Rica. Here we'll stop off for a typical Costa Rican lunch at a fun local restaurant.

Our next stop will be Sarchi, known for its authentic artisan woodworks and handicrafts.  You'll see how a typical oxcart is made, plus be able to buy local artists' work and bring a piece of Costa Rica home with you.
