Scenic Poas Volcano Day Trip

The day begins with a scenic ride up to the volcano passing coffee plantations and cattle farms. We'll visit Poas' active crater and explore its national park. There are numerous trails to explore (weather permitting) where numerous endemic species of plants and birds may be seen. A brief stop will also be made on the way there in Alajuela with a visit to the Juan Santamaria monument and church.
